Pureblood Vampire Kaname Kuran from the manga series Vampire Knight, with two white tigers. Original done in pencil, then scanned, colored and generally messed-with in Photoshop CS3. I tried to ink the tigers before I scanned, which was a mistake, but I was able to fix it somewhat in Photoshop. Still not entirely pleased with them, but at least Kaname came out okay.

We know that herbivores do not like the scent of vampires, but I imagine other predators would be drawn to them. I had fun playing with the idea of the similarities between the subjects - graceful lethalness and beauty, as well as the black and white of the tigers and of the night class uniforms.

Due to the subject matter, I had this poem by William Blake running through my head while I was working:

Tiger, Tiger, burning bright
In the forest of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

I have another, slightly different version of this picture that includes the poem, perhaps I will post that one as well.
