For the version without words, go here: [link]

Pureblood Vampire Kaname Kuran with two white tigers. Drawn in pencil, then scanned, colored and generally messed-with in Photoshop. I personally prefer the text-free version of the picture, but I had to put this one up too because I really adore this poem and I've always felt that it works really well for Vampires.

We know that herbivores do not like the scent of vampires, but I imagine other predators would be drawn to them. I had fun playing with the idea of the similarities between the subjects - graceful lethalness and beauty, as well as the black and white of the tigers and of the night class uniforms.

Thoughts and comments welcome and appreciated!

Nice. I like it. They do go together. Although... I think I'm going to stop reading Vk, because now that Kaien is not funny and turned all emo and wants to kill Kaname It was like "This is shit... why am I reading it... *keeps reading*" Yeah.
I'm begining to not like VK, it is getting too confusing and Kaname is probably going to die. So Kaname is my only reason for following Vk and if he dies I'm done.
This is depressing to think of. Darn.

Do you know what the heck is going on? I've read over the latest chapters THREE times already. What is Kaname talking about with not hesitating and making his choice only once to stay with her?
I am not kidding when I say I am heartbroken over him leaving and possible incoming death.

Thanks! Yeah, VK has definitely taken a more serious turn. Early on, Ms. Hino described VK as a tragedy (when contrasting it with her previous series) and I have a feeling we will finally be seeing why soon. *gathers up her tissues in preparation* I have a creeping feeling I'm going to be sad no matter how it ends.

No, I didn't entirely get everything in the last chapter, but I've only read the sort of pre-translation so far, so I can't say yet.

My overall take - and this is just my opinion / guess - is that Kaname has always intended to sacrifice himself for his goals. He tried to in the past, but the Hooded Woman preempted him. Then, with Yuki, he found someone who accepted him, someone he loved who made his world warm and gave him something to live for. So he wavered and thought maybe he could live with her and either put off or put aside his plans. But Yuki wasn't really happy with just him, so he decided to go on with his plans and do what he feels will ultimately enable her to live the life she wants to and be happy. :*( *sniff*

But, who knows what will happen? We may yet have an unexpected twist somewhere. :) And in any case, Kaname will always live on in an alternate world in my mind, so... ;)

I agree. That seems to be what is going to happen. AND... at least if he does (God forbid!) die he can at least be in Heaven with the hooded lady he loved. ^^ I don't believe in anything other then happy endings.
Thank you for taking the time to reply. It is nice to hear your opinion! ^^

If anyone could pull off a noble, tragic end it would be Kaname. *bawls softly and clings to him* I guess we'll see.

Yes! *nods* I agree! I like your take there, happy endings all the way. :)

Oh, yeah. It would be him. It'd be Code Geass tragic. I cried at that ending.
Of course! I always look for the bright side, even though it's hard to do sometimes. If he dies... I shall be devestated!
